If you hit your head on social media, then you might know how difficult it is to create an effective Facebook Ad strategy.

Facebook Algorithm is more like an apocalypse to many publishers as it directly impact the post reach. 

Though I’m not a coder, and hardly understand the framework of the algorithm. But even I have noticed that reaching your follower in Facebook has became somewhat difficult. That’s why most organization are shifting towards Facebook ad campaign for maximum reach and awareness.

Here is something you need to understand before designing your Facebook ad strategy- you need to understand why Facebook developers, or team are doing this.

Have you ever saw the movie ‘The Social Network‘? It’s a great movie and might inspire you. So do watch.

Anyway, in the movie, Mark Zuckerberg said that:

Facemash (Facebook’s predecessor, opened in 2003)  wasn’t about pictures of hot girls. You can go anywhere on the internet and see pictures of hot girls. It was because I put up pictures of girls that people knew. So if people Want to go on the internet and check out their friends, why can’t I build a website that offers that? An online community of friends. Pictures, profiles, whatever you can click into, visit, browse around. All from the privacy of your dorm room. I’m not talking about a dating site. I’m talking about taking the entire social structure of college and putting it online.

The thing is, Facebook is build on the foundation (or belief) to connect with friends, families or the people you are interested in. And when the time passes, it became more fashionable and became a part of our lives.

Majority of brand started using Facebook for the link bombarding. Irrelevancy was becoming common, and this hinders the sole purpose of social media platform.

That is why Facebook is prioritizing personal content over pages to make it more meaningful.

What You Can Do?

As of my experience in digital marketeer realm, I’ve observed that if you are able to make your Facebook post interactive and creative by using intriguing headline, then you’ll be able to get better reach.

  • Try not to drop link because it won’t give you maximum reach unless you boost.
  • Use images, and video post for far better reach. Besides, they also yield better engagement with the audience.
